Coalesce wanted to take the retro camp vibe we did last year and elevate the experience, making it more immersive, vibrant, and unexpected, while keeping it unmistakably Coalesce

Step 1

Finding the Direction

We kicked off with an inspiration deep dive, pulling from vintage park posters, scout badges, retro illustrations, and camp counselor gear. This visual research defined a design language rooted in nostalgia but delivered with modern energy — an aesthetic that feels like camp but works for a SaaS brand.

Step 2

Designing Through AI

AI became a key collaborator. Using MidJourney, we explored dozens of styles and hundreds of variations before landing on the right direction.

Key challenges solved:
• Achieving a consistent look across AI-generated visuals
• Balancing playful retro textures with a polished, modern tone
• Subtly weaving in Coalesce’s personality through color and motifs

The result was a 3D-inspired retro visual system designed to make attendees feel like they were stepping into a new world.

Step 3

Bringing It to Life

The landing page needed to pull people in and keep them exploring. We designed an experience that feels layered, dynamic, and alive with custom badges inspired by vintage scout patches and subtle integrations of Coalesce’s node motif for brand continuity.

Outcome

The final result combines nostalgia, playfulness, and polish to create a memorable, human-centered event brand. We created a cohesive library of AI-driven visuals and badges, an immersive landing page that surprises and delights, and a refreshed identity for Camp Coalesce that is vibrant, engaging, and on brand.

“It’s not what you’d expect from a workshop or event at a tech company, and that was the point.”

-Kaitlyn, Creative Director

Shoutout to everyone who pitched in on this monumental effort - it’s a thing of beauty!
